On December 6, I reported about a lawsuit filed by Paul Leslie against County of Humboldt, Humboldt County Board of Supervisors and Ian Hoffman.
Leslie is co-owner of Humboldt Honey Wine and has another business, Paul Leslie Appraisals. "I gave them every chance before I filed this lawsuit," Leslie told me. He is represented by Ms. Allison Jackson from the Harland Law Firm. Ms. Jackson has sued the county more than once on behalf of HumCPR and she represented Judith Magney. The County settled the Magney lawsuit for a million dollars.
Since my last post, proof of service had been filed. When I last checked, there had been no response from the County and no date set. There is very little information in e court other than it is a writ of mandate.
County has hired private counsel and asked for time extension.
