Alderpoint homicide suspect Jake Combs is on the arraignment calendar this afternoon. He is charged with PC 187 (a) and special allegation of personal and intentional discharge of a firearm causing great bodily injury and death.
Family and friends of the victim, Trevor Earley packed the courtroom. There were others sitting outside, one with a baby. Combs custody status was changed to no bail. The no bail status was without prejudice.
Public Defender's office was appointed. Preliminary hearing is scheduled for January 20.
1/20/22: Defense request to continue preliminary hearing granted. Setting of preliminary hearing and status of discovery is scheduled for 2/22/22.
