Instead of County Counsel, a Sacramento firm will represent PD office in Kalin lawsuit

Another case management conference for Rory Kalin's lawsuits against Judge Gregory Elvine, Kreis and others was scheduled for January 6. There is a related case which has not been formally assigned to Mendocino Judge Ann Moorman, yet.

Judge Elvine-Kreis' attorney is Mr. Patrik Griego. Kalin's attorney is Jonathan Hornberger.

In the second lawsuit which includes other defendants, the County chose to hire a Sacramento firm, Angelo, Kilday and Kilduff instead of having County Counsel represent Public Defender Marek Reavis and Deputy Public Defender Luke Brownfield  in the second lawsuit.

In that second case, demurrers have been filed. They were filed and scheduled for different days. Dates were rescheduled so all demurrers and both cases could be heard on the same day which is February 19. Case management in the first lawsuit and demurrers will be heard in the second lawsuit.
