Felon Nathan Teasley fled from EPD after a traffic stop, later arrested for possession of a firearm


Followed up.on Friday night scanner information with Eureka Police Department's Crime Analyst and PIO Brittany Powell.

"On Saturday March 9th around 8:30 p.m.  officers made a traffic stop near West Henderson and California Streets and contacted the driver, 53 year old Nathan Teasley.  A records search revealed that Teasley was not to possess weapons.  While being questioned, Teasley started his vehicle and fled from officers.  During a brief pursuit, Teasley threw a firearm out of the vehicle.  Teasley ultimately pulled over and was arrested for evading and for felon in possession of a firearm.  The firearm was located a short time later by officers. "
