Opening statements begin in former correctional officer Cory Fisher's jury trial

Opening statements started this morning in former correctional officer Cory Fisher's case.

Judge Timothy Canning read opening jury instruction to 12 jurors (9 men and three women) and 4 alternates (4 men).



Former correctional officer Cory Fisher is charged with 13 counts of alleged sexual abuse and inappropriate behavior involving six minor male victims. 10 felony counts and four misdemeanors.

The alleged victims include his son, two step sons and three inmates.

Deputy District Attorney Stacey Eads gave her opening statement. Deputy Conflict Counsel David Lee will give his statement after the morning break.
