"At the end, the evidence will show that Mr. Fisher committed the 13 crimes as charged"

Deputy District Attorney Stacey Eads' opening statement included how the investigation started in former correctional officer Cory Fisher's case, information about who will testify and then the law regarding the 13 counts.

"The evidence will show that this is a case about relationships; human relationships," said Ms. Eads. Relationships between friends; husband and wife; children and parents, inmates and correctional officer.

"Each relationship involves trust and authority. Those elements were broken."

Count 9 is the only count that is not a sexual offense.

"At the end, the evidence will show that Mr
Fisher committed the 13 crimes as charged."

Ms. Eads statement today in which she listed the charges and examples of incidents by the victims has been covered in detail during the preliminary hearing.
