"Remember that day? I am so surprised you were so physical in the rec yard."
HCSO Staff Lt. Jason Benge was still on the stand this morning for the Cory Fisher jury trial. He was being cross examined by Deputy Conflict Counsel David Lee about cell checks, data, control booth.
After the morning break, the People concluded their case. The defense briefly recalled and questioned Matthew Fockaert about a letter he wrote to Fisher about an incident in the rec yard. Fockaert said this was the incident where Fisher touched him inappropriately. The envelope was postmarked October 5, 2017.
When Fockaert testified on March 20, he denied writing the letter. Fockaert was James Doe #'s cell mate in 2017.
"I kicked a door and I was yelling and being disruptive. Officer Fisher and Officer Roche put me in cuffs."
Early break for lunch due to witness scheduling.
