James Doe #2 who knew Fisher when they were teens, received a $25,000 settlement testified about his cellies and more

James Doe #2  was roomates with Cory Fisher in a group home when they were 15 years old.

He testified about 2017 when Fisher was his housing officer. Three days in a row, he woke up to Fisher being in his cell, twice with Fisher touching his thigh and the third time he woke up and Fisher was groping his erect penis.

"He had his hand on it. He was squeezing."

"I said what the fuck?" testified James Doe #2. He said that Fisher told him to calm down he would call in an assault on an officer. "He came back a few hours later that day and said, 'Can we talk?' We have known each other a long time. "

James Doe #2 said Fisher told him he was having problems with his wife. That he was going South. James Doe #2 said he believed Fisher because "we had seen him on his cell phone crying? Fisher told James Doe #2, "Can we keep this between us?"

James Doe #2 is one of the inmates who sued Humboldt County and settled for $25,000. Previous coverage includes documents from inmates who sued the county and details of incidents with Fisher.

"If it wasn't Fisher, who I knew, I would have wigged out the first two times."

Some new information revealed in court today was that James Doe #2 received charges and a copy of the Ramey warrant from his attorney, he and other inmates sent a degrading letter to Fisher .

The other new information was James Doe #2 sharing "Things like being strip searched butt naked. Things like being looked at inappropriately, like looking at my genitals with a smirk. He made comments to me about my genitalia. I have tatoos down there."

Micah Keyes Anderson, another inmate who contacted a civil attorney was mentioned today during James Doe #2's testimony.

"This needs to be handled. I am here for myself, I am here for the kids and I am here for the woman," said James Doe #2.

During cross examination, James Doe #2 said that if Detective Turner had not questioned him about Fisher, "I wouldn't have said shit."

"My civil attorney told me not to talk to anyone because others would come forward and try to make money and it will muddle the case," said James Doe #2.

Matthew Fockaert was the last witness today. He was James Doe #'s cell mate. He corroborated James Doe #2 testimony about a heated  exchange between James Doe #2 but denied writing a derogatory letter to Fisher. He also denied that James Doe #2 put money on his books.

Fockaert said he heard Fisher telling James Doe #2 to calm down or he would call in assault on an officer and talk to the DA. This would ruin a deal in James Doe #2's case.

"I believe it's important the truth be told and Mr. Fisher answer to what he has done."

Fockaert's testified Fisher that he had a cordial relationship with Fisher.

Thursday's testimony will be from 9:30 a.m. to 3:30. Friday from 9:30 to noon.
