Judge Wilson grants DA's motion to consolidate two of Richard Dean's cases

Motion to consolidate murder suspect Richard Dean's cases was decided this morning. Deputy Public Defender Ben McLaughlin opposed the motion to consolidate the three cases.

Judge Christopher Wilson granted the motion to considate the homicide case and the case with robbery charge. The motion to consolidate the case with the battery on a custodial officer was denied.

Defense was going to file a motion to continue; no motion was filed before today's  hearing. Deputy District Attorney Stacey Eads is prosecuting the case.

Trial confirmation is scheduled April 4 and jury trial for April 22. I covered the motion to considate and the reasons for continuance in detail in the previous posts. Link provided below.
