"Law enforcement needs to be held to a higher standard"

Eureka Police Department Detective Ron Harpham started his testimony before lunch.

Detective Harpham was assigned the case on August 11, 2017. It was a high priority case because it involved an "active corrections officer." Detective Harpham was told that Fisher had resigned by Captain O'Neill. That information was given to EPD by HCSO admin.

What Detective Harpham was not informed of until later was that while Fisher resigned, he continued to work at the jail for a few more days.

"Law enforcement needs to be held to a higher standard," said Detective Harpham.

His testimony included information about the investigation, interviews and process that led to a Ramey warrant being issued for Fisher's arrest.

Detective Harpham testified about what John Doe #2 told him in two separate interviews. Detective Harpham verified some of what John Doe #2 said but other testimony contradicted what John Doe #2 said on the stand. John Doe #2 told Detective Harpham the sexual abuse only happened at the Pine Street house. John Doe #2  told Detective Harpham that Cory Fisher ejaculated more than once.

Detective Harpham's testimony confirmed what John Doe #3 testified to in court yesterday. Angela Fisher knew about John Doe #3 and the inappropriate incident the same day it happened.
