Brandon Brocious' lung, esophagus were punctured; the knife hit his spine

Sgt  Shawn Sopoaga took the stand after Jane Doe this afternoon at Lorna Leen's preliminary hearing.

Sgt. Sopoaga was at the autopsy for Brandon  Brocious  on August 11. Forensic pathologist Dr. Mark Super determined Brocious' cause of death to be "wound to decedent's upper left hand chest area. The knife penetrated skin, punctured the lung, esophagus and hit the spine."

Leen initially told Sgt. Sopoaga she was not at the cemetery on August 9, 2018. Later in the interview, she said she was there. She denied seeing her son Christopher Sterling-Craft that day; later in the interview she said she did.

Detective Ron Harpham testified that a pocket knife was found in Brocious pocket; the blade was in a fixed and open position.

Judge Elvine-Kreis will issue his ruling tomorrow at 8:30 tomorrow in Courtroom 4.
