After Cory Fisher concludes, Deputy DA Eads has Seng Yang and Chad Smith lined up to start

Trial confirmation for Seng Yang, the man charged with raping his own daughter,  was scheduled this morning. Both parties confirmed. Deputy District Attorney Carolyn Schaffer appeared in court for Deputy DA Stacey Eads this morning.

Trial confirmation was continued to March 27 to get a definite schedule, time estimate and information on when Ms. Eads will be available to start the trial.

Deputy Public Defender Luke Brownfield has taken over the case from Public Defender Marek Reavis.  A copy of discovery that is not encrypted has been requested from the People.

A Hmong interpreter and a sign language interpreter have been requested. Mr. Brownfoeld indicated issues with that and will be discussing with the People.
