Had this hearing not been so last minute, maybe there would be more people showing up for Kiya and Faith

(Kiya and Faith)

As I mentioned in my Marci Kitchen getting the kiddy glove treatment post; actions speak louder than words.

It is bad enough Marci Kitchen took months to surrender after Faith and Kiya died. Then she dragged out this case and travelled out of the country. Judge Christopher Wilson said her travel requests could be heard privately and those records should be sealed. Now she claims she does not have money. The taxpayers are paying for her attorney and her legal expenses. She shows up in court with her entourage,  each time in a new outfit, with different hairstyle and now she wants to travel again?

Is it going to be the same bs about her getting a free ticket?

Thanks to Judge Wilson, Marci Kitchen seems to think being arrested and arraigned for two vehicular manslaughter charges (with one of the victims being her own daughter) is a Club Med vacation.

Why doesn't her boyfriend (rumored to be husband) and his "bigtime" lawyer father, (Mel Pearlston) pony up the money? Has Marci Kitchen filled out financial forms showing she is indigent?

This Marci Kitchen motion for March 12 was very last minute. It is not the first time the families have found out about these hearings via my blog. Even if Stephanie Baldwin wanted to be here tomorrow, she is miles away.  There are at least three times I have found out about these last minute hearings and posted on my blog and that is how Joe Kitchen and Faith Tsarnas'  family found out.

Once again, the Kitchen hearing is scheduled with few other cases (right before the Jon Goldberg jury trial ) on a Monday in the smallest courtroom. Monday is typically the busiest day in court.

What the DA's office and local Humboldt Superior Court Judges (not visiting Judges) need to know that there is a community very frustrated with the way this case has been handled. And frustrated and upset for these two families.

The DA's office, Humboldt County Superior Court system, Kitchen's past and present attorneys and court staff seem to think deadlines to file can be at attorneys' whim and adequate notice to the public about court cases is something they can ignore.

Despite covering the all day Goldberg trial I  check this and other cases daily.

The DA not informing families has happened multiple times; in multiple cases. It isn't just the Kitchen case.

We have two attorneys, victim witness and a DA Investigator daily for a month for the Goldberg jury trial. No other homicide case (since I have covered courts) had this many resources daily. We all sit around daily, wasting time, while the prosecution team in the Goldberg case decides if they are going to rest their case or call witnesses or how long our day is going to be.

Regarding the Kitchen case, Deputy District Attorney Stacey Eads is currently  in another jury trial. Victim Witness does have multiple cases to cover but the DA's office has enough staff. Someone can pick up the phone to inform the Kitchen and Tsarnas families.

This post includes feelings conveyed to me by the many people who contact me daily about this case. These are people who vote, people who pay taxes and the Humboldt Superior Court needs to start listening.
