"I have nothing to say your honor. She is not a morning person."

Katherine Zacevich has three cases from 2017. Court records listed arraignment on complaint for two cases, misdemeanors. Her felony case, (the PG & E case)was on for trial confirmation.

After three attempts to look for Zacevich, a bench warrant was issued by Judge Dale Reinholtsen. At the defense request, the bench warrant will be held until March 16 at 8:30 a.m.

Deputy District Attorney Brent Kling is prosecuting the case. Deputy Conflict Counsel David Lee is representing Zacevich.
Deputy Conflict Counsel Hugh Gallagher appeared for Mr. Lee in court today (since Mr. Lee is in a jury trial.)

Before the bench warrant was issued, off the record, Mr. Gallagher quipped, "I have nothing to say your honor. She is not a morning person."

Judge Reinholtsen responded, "Sounds like poor scheduling on our part."

Besides the Judge, attorneys and court staff, I was the only one in the audience so no feelings were harmed with the light hearted repartee.

On the record, Mr. Kling pointed out Zacevich's previous failures to appear. She did show up last time and the bench warrant was withdrawn.

  3. Maybe she was out for her morning swim in the canal near the PG&E power plant? Or possibly she was hung over from out partying the night before her scheduled court appearance?
