There is a motion hearing for a gag order on 3/20. Trial confirmation is 3/21. Jury trial April 9.
Trial confirmation for James Merrick had been continued to February 28. It was continued again.
Merrick is charged in the 2016 case with murder, two DUI counts and hit and run in the death of a teen pedestrian in Mckinleyville.
Deputy District Attorney Brent Kling is prosecuting the case. Conflict Counsel Supervising Attorney Meagan O'Connell is representing Merrick.
