James Merrick jury trial in which he is charged with murder of teen pedestrian scheduled for November 12

James Merrick had a trial setting scheduled for today, July 26. Merrick is charged with the murder of a teen pedestrian in Mckinleyville, two DUI charges and a charge of hit and run.

Trial confirmation is October 19. Jury trial is November 12.

The case is being prosecuted by Deputy District Attorney Brent Kling. Mr. Kling is currently prosecuting a jury trial so DDA Roger Rees appeared in court on his behalf.

Merrick is represented by the County Counsel office.
