James Pawlyk had yet another confirmation of transport scheduled today. He has still not transported to NAPA. Another hearing is scheduled for November 9.

Kailan Meserve moved again, now to a prison for "sensitive needs inmates" such as sex offenders and gang dropouts

Kailan Meserve is now housed in Mule Creek State Prison.This is his second move. From San Quentin, he got moved to Corcoran state prison after he was beaten up by fellow inmates.

HCSO hopes to have a full time PIO by the end of the month


Humboldt County Sheriff's office has been without a PIO for months now.  In addition to their regular duties, the three HCSO Lieutenants have been rotating PIO duties; mostly Lt. Mike Fridley and Lt. Dennis Young.

Sometimes, as savvy readers have noticed, it has been taking a while to get official confirmation. This is why.

 On Monday October 30th, 2017, at approximately 1:00 P.M. Humboldt County Drug Task Force Special Agents with assistance from Officers with the Arcata Police Department served a search warrant at an apartment located in the 800 block of K Street in Arcata.

 On October 28th, 2017, at around 1:00 A.M. Special Agents with the Humboldt County Drug Task Force spotted a vehicle traveling northbound on Hwy 101 near Stafford.  Agents recognized the vehicle as belonging to 25 year old Jose Trujillo.
