Humboldt County Sheriff's Office issued a press release about Robert Slavens this morning. HCSO issued an arrest warrant for Robert Slavens. I have covered him before. When he is arrested, a Humboldt judge needs to keep him in jail with no bail.
During their investigation, deputies learned that 51-year-old Robert Willis Slavens prevented the 44-year-old female victim from leaving the residence during an argument, holding her against her will, brandished and discharged a firearm inside the residence before fleeing on a white Honda motorcycle.
Slavens is described as a white male adult, 6 feet, 2 inches tall, weighing approximately 230 pounds, with black and gray hair and blue eyes. He was last seen wearing a black motorcycle jacket and a black, full-face helmet.
The victim was not physically injured during this incident.
An arrest warrant has been issued for Slavens for the following charges:
PC 245(a)(2)-Assault with a firearm
PC 236 - False imprisonment
PC 422(a) - Criminal threats
PC 273.6(a)- Violation of a domestic violence court order
Slavens should be considered armed and dangerous. Anyone who sees Slavens should not approach him and should call 9-1-1 immediately. Pursuant to Penal Code 13665(a)(1) a booking photo of Slavens is being released to the public."
