Commit a crime on probation, cause a collision, flee from EPD, get off with no sanctions, counts dismissed and 1 year probation

I most recently covered Leisel Norman in the 6th and H collision. As usual, I am the only one to follow the case from arrest to conclusion.

On  10/15, 11 days before jury trial in the 2026 case, Norman entered a guilty plea to Count 2;  no court fine because Humboldt Superior Court Judge Steven Steward found Norman indigent. No custodial sanctions and  1 year  probation

Counts 1 & 3 dismissed. In a 2025 case, violation of probation found true.
