Three cases, repeat offender who should not have been released, fails to appear because he is in custody in Trinity County

Robert Slavens had three cases on calendar today.

CR2603207:

Charged with PC 29800 (a) (1) felon in possession of a firearm and PC 30305 (a) (1) prohibited person in posession of ammunition. Arraigned on 8/18; Public Defender appointed. OR bail continued from 8/20 to 8/25 by defense because Slavens has possible parole hold. On 8/25, no information on parope hold. Preliminary examination continued by defense and Slavens placed on supervised release by Humboldt Superior Court Judge Kaleb Cockrum  despite DA's objection. Today he failed to appear in court. His wife, Jessica Slavens appeared via Zoom and told Humboldt Superior Court Judge Kelly Neel he is in custody in Trinity County.

CR2602272:

Same charges as CR2603207.

CR2600858:

Driving under influence of drug.

I am not going into details of the other two cases nor is there a reason to follow up on yet another repeat offender who should not have been granted supervised release and now is Trinity County's problem.
