I stopped covering convicted sex offender Robert Munts after he was found not competent to stand trial. Another Humboldt Public Defender client.
Munts was arrested by Eureka Police Department Sgt. Brian Ross yesterday afternoon for PC 647 (f) public intoxication and PC 415 (2) disturbing the peace. He was released on OR.
I had prepped this post knowing it was a matter of time when Munts would be arrested; not if he would be arrested.
Munts is in the Courthouse, near the Courthouse like other lurkers. He knows how to work the system. The Humboldt County Public Defender's Office does not give a damn about public safety. If they could, every single client would get mental health diversion or be found not competent to stand trial.
Munts just roams the streets of Eureka when he should be locked away in jail, prison or the State Hospital thanks to the criminal enabling Dems.
