This is frequently arrested Rufus Cooke. Photo provided when he was taken into custody by a recovery agent. More than one bail company has posted bond. Only one local company bothered to arrest him. The problem is Humboldt judges keep releasing him on supervised release and is back in custody. Of course, he is a Humboldt Public Defender client.
Today, he was arraigned on three cases. They weren't even his most recent 2026 cases. Two of them were for violating court orders.
His supervised release was terminated in one case by Humboldt Superior Court Judge Heather Durand. Bail exonerated in one case. Set in another case. Cooke was remanded into custody. Acting belligerent in court Rufus does not work well. Two of his bail bonds representatives were in court for other reasons and got to watch Rufus act out.
Feel free to google Rufus.
