For those waiting on an update on Ocean DelCastillo's bail hearing, I was just in the courtroom which is packed with family, friends, some wearing shirts "Justice for Anisha." Humboldt Superior Court Judge Heather Durans met in chambers with Senior Deputy DA Roger Rees, Deputy Public Defender David Celli and Mr. William Stein who is here with the family. Mr. Rees intends to provide evidence and testimony why DelCastillo should remain in custody.
DelCastillo's assigned attorney, Deputy Public Defender Emery Welton is not in the office. Mr. Celli is checking on his availability and the bail hearing will be continued. Set to coincide with the preliminary hearing on 10/28.
