EPD presence at this house near Patriot Gas station on Myrtle

Reader sent me this photo of house  directly across from the Patriot gas station at Myrtle Avenue.

"2 EPD cars and an undercover car too. One police officer keeps getting stuff out of his trunk and there's like six officers at least that I can see."

EPD Press Release: (November 3):

On 11-02-17 at about 10:12 am, an officer of the Eureka Police Department conducted a traffic enforcement stop on a vehicle at 3rd / ‘B’ Streets.  The vehicle yielded and the driver was contacted. Shortly after contacting the driver, he abruptly drove off east on 3rd Street. A pursuit was initiated.  The vehicle traveled through several intersections without stopping for stop signs. Due to the threat the drivers actions posed to the civilians in the area, the pursuit was terminated. The vehicle was last seen traveling south on ‘N’ Street from 4th Street.

A short time later, officers located the vehicle unoccupied and parked in a driveway at the 1600 block of Nedra Street. The vehicle was processed and towed from the scene.
This is an open investigation and anyone with information concerning this incident is urged to contact Officer Nantz at 707 441-4060.
