"That's the only appropriate outcome in a case where two young girls put their trust in the defendant and he violated that trust. "

"There are many members of the two young women here today," said Mr. Rees. "Regarding the probation recommendation, I ask the Court to instead sentence Kade Chandler to six years in state prison."

"That's the only appropriate outcome in a case where two young girls put their trust in the defendant and he violated that trust. Those two young girls are not with us."

Family members wiped tears as Mr. Rees spoke.

Deputy DA Rees said that probation did not consider the serious nature of the crimes and that there were three victims.

Mr. Rees spoke about the criteria for probation. He spoke about the vulnerability of the victims.  "Their lives were completely in his hands."
