"Do not take my word for it, take the defendant's word for it that he burned Uber's home."

(Domenico)

"Do not take my word for it, take the defendant's word for it that he burned Uber's home." This sentence from Deputy District Attorney Trent Timm's opening statement sums up a very crucial part of the evidence that will be presented in the case against Anthony Domenico.

Domenico is charged with arson of Thomas Uber's home and assault of Uber. He voluntarily spoke with the media at the scene, accused Uber of burning his own home down, then later confessed to KIEM's Monica Petruzelli.

That audio was played in the preliminary.

"You are going to hear a lot of testimony," said Deputy Conflict Counsel Marek Reavis. "It will be very confusing. Some of what Mr. Timm said is fact."

Mr. Reavis focused on the only witness' testimony he has a chance to cast doubt on; the alleged victim, Uber.

Stating examples, "you will hear two guys beat me with a stick"; "the 911 call where Mr. Uber says, send an ambulance, someone shot me" and other inconsistencies claimed by Mr. Reavis.

The previous post,  linked below is a summary of the first day of the jury trial. Mr. Reavis was successful in "rattling Uber" on Thursday.

On Tuesday, when the trial resumes, there will be more cross examination of Uber, 45 minutes to an hour, according to what Mr. Reavis told Judge Feeney.

Then redirect of Uber, if Mr. Timm choses, and the rest of the People's evidence.

Mr. Reavis' entire strategy depends on how the jury perceives Uber. Mr. Timm has evidence, credible testimony from several witnesses and a taped confession.
