Underage occupants driving stolen vehicle in Eureka detained by EPD

Stolen vehicle out of Fortuna, with three juvenile, driving without headlights, three different pursuits through Downtown and Old Town Eureka. One of those pursuits was by EPD. Sgt. Eddie Wilson. The joyride ended in tbe parking lot at Walgreens on Broadway where the the SUV crashed into an utility pole.

All three declined medical attention. They were evaluated by medical staff.

According to Sgt. Wilson, the high speed rates were up to 70  mph. The first pursuit 11th and F down to 4th street, where the car was driving the wrong way. Last pursuit started at 6th street and ended at Walgreen's parking lot.

No arrests yet. Records of juveniles are being checked. Parents are being notified.
