Posters of both Savannah Kindred and Kendra Lewis with several photos of both were placed in front of the courtroom as speakers made victim impact statements this morning before Kade Chandler's sentencing.
The first speaker was Troy Scott, Savannah's father and Kendra's uncle. His voice wavered at times and he fought back tears.
"I feel like someone kicked me in the stomach, at least twice a day."
"I don't let my other kids do anything because I am afraid something bad will happen to them."
"I know this is a tragedy all around," he said, referring to Kade Chandler's family.
"All I know is my girls were alive when they got into that truck; then they were not."
"Mr. Chandler's social media, before it got cleaned up, showed a trend. "
"This was prolonged for three years. I don't feel like he took responsibility. "
