Jury trial confirmed for Chad Smith charged with alleged abuse of his step daughter and her friend

Further trial confirmation was held for Chad Smith this morning. Jury trial confirmed for December 4.  Four weeks time estimate, including jury selection.
There will be two  questionnaires given to potential jurors. The long questionnaire is due by trial assignment, which is scheduled for December 1.

Deputy District Attorney Stacey Eads is prosecuting the case. Public Defender David Marcus has appeared with Smith for the last three hearings.

    My Daughter has been called in for jury service during this time. I’m pretty sure they will excuse her from this one. She’s heard my rants about him, has the same opinion I do, and believes Jane Doe. I may see you down there, if so I’ll say Hi!
