This one speech and presentation by Judy Sousa to the Eureka City Council was more effective than any coverage on the local opoid crisis.

With the exception of Eureka Mayor Frank Jager and City Councilmember Marian Brady,  the rest of the present Eureka City Council's attitude towards law abiding, working, tax paying citizens of Eureka can best be summed by Councilmember Natalie Arroyo in this screenshot.



To Kim Bergel's credit, she does respond and do so on facebook and in public. This is only one example where she has responded.

    I worked for the RAVEN project for a short period and even as a program exclusively for youth ages 12-21 y/o we gave away free bleach kits for cleaning and re-using dirty needles. These included a small bottle of bleach, a rubber tourniquet, cotton balls, alcohol wipes, and instructions on how to properly inject.
