Eleven cases, arrested by EPD, FPD, small claims lawsuit dismissed yet the debacle continues


James Darin Goodale filed a small claims
case against Martha Shanahan, a St. Joseph hospital manager. After testimony, JDG's case against was dismissed. This was in 2014.

In 2004, JDG was charged with one count; driving at unsafe speed. Agency:EPD. Sentenced and fined $232.

In 2006, JDG was charged, again, with driving at a unsafe speed. Sentenced and fined $190.

In 2007, JDG charged with failure to provide evidence of financial responsibility or no proof of insurance. Agency FPD. Sentenced and fined $10.

In 2007, JDG  charged with not wearing seatbelt. Sentenced and fined $92.

In 2007, JDG charged with unsafe lane change. Sentenced and fined $194.

In 2007, another charge of unsafe lane change. Sentenced and fined $194.

In 2010, JDG charged with using "wireless phone, not hands free". Sentenced and fined $14.

In 2011, JDG charged for not wearing seatbelt. Agency: CHP. Sentenced and fined $159.

In 2012, JDG charged with driving at an unsafe speed as well as proof of no insurance. Agency: CHP. Sentenced and fined $288 and $899.

In 2012, JDG charged with failure to stop at a stop sign. Agency: FPD. Sentenced $233.

In 2017, JDG charged with headlamp violation and no proof of insurance. Agency: EPD. Sentenced and fined $25  for each count.

Fortuna Police Department has not provided the DA with a report for the November 2017 arrest yet, so no information available yet on that arrest.

Eleven cases and involved different cars.

  1. This "privileged person" who thinks everyone else is dirt under his feet suffers from "delusions of grandeur". Any other person would be in jail, but the good ole boy system in Fortuna politics keeps him out. WTF people!

  2. WTH? No proof of insurance that many times and you can't pull his license, he'll drive anyway. He needs to hear the sounds of some stiff jail time. And who were the judges, DA's and ticketing officers I wonder? Thanks John for shining some light on it!

  4. Maybe the companies contracted with the jail/prison system make more money with him being on the lose than they would by locking him up and hoping he'd get so bored he'd work for a buck an hour for them.
