James Darin Goodale, the local jeweller, who recently got arrested for "reckless evading" has attracted a lot of interest.
A woman who wishes to remain anonymous, for now, shared and gave me permission to share her experience with JDG; someone she trusted and considered a friend at one time. This incident has been verified by two other independent sources who don't know each other.
"I filed a police report with Officer Nunez on may 17 in Eureka. I told him about Darin assaulting me in Santa Fe on may 14th. I also told him I had given Darin my $7500 Rolex to have it cleaned about 3 weeks before. Darin told me a few days prior to our leaving for Santa Fe that it wasn't ready. I had no receipt from him. When my daughter started texting him and asking for the Rolex (after I returned from Santa Fe) Darin said I never gave it to him. Officer Nunez said he would contact Darin's brother and tell him. He also said he could accompany me to his store and stand by me while they asked for my watch. They couldn't look around or look in his safe. That was as far as EPD could take it. Darin stole my watch. I have the official card from where I purchased it with serial number and all the details."

**I know Darin and my own experience with him is that he can be kind one minute and complelety abusive and irritational without any warning. After his recent arrest, the incident with him and the homeless woman, and a few experiences shared and witnessed by various people , I think for public safety it is important to warn people to be cautious about and around JDG. He needs to think about how this is affecting him, his business and people who care about his well-being."**
What a freaking weird Jewish fella! Are those magic marker eyebrows??? Oy vey!
