Ocean Alexander Del Castillo aka Kevin Magnatta was arrested by HCSO yesterday in an arrest warrant issued in a 2026 case for PC 192(c)(1) vehicular manslaughter with gross negligence and VC 21651(c) driving on the wrong side of the highway that results in bodily injury or death. He posted bond.
The Humboldt County District Attorney filed a complaint on 8/7/26. There is no arraignment date scheduled or showing in the Humboldt court sytem. I have checked daily since this post and the last time I checked was 8/25/26.
I have include the charges and the complaint filed by Senior Humboldt County District Attorney Roger Rees on 8/7/26. The complaint charges Del Castillo with the death of Anisha Nicole Gutshall.
1:57 p.m. update: After the post and the community interest, I just checked and his arraignment date is 10/19/26. Castillo's bail was $55,000 and bond was posted by Bail Hotline Bail Bonds from Riverside CA.
