Trial confirmation and a motion to continue the jury trial by Conflict Counsel is scheduled for assault suspect Dustin Latham this morning. It looks like the motion to continue will be granted.
Latham rejected a plea offer by the People and waived his right to a preliminary hearing. Latham's effort to reduce bail backfired. He is ineligible for probation due to two prior felonies.
Defense motion to continue was granted. Trial confirmation is June 16; jury trial on June 27.
