Combs is charged with one count of murder and a special allegation that he personally and intentionally discharged a firearm causing great bodily injury and death to Trevor John Earley.
The courtroom is packed with Earley's family and friends. After the preliminary hearing, Combs was held to answer on murder charge and special allegation. Arraignment on information is on June 2.
Deputy Public Defender Ben McLaughlin is Combs attorney. Deputy District Attorney Jessica Acosta and Deputy DA Shelly Small both questioned witnesses today. Ms. Acosta had been appearing on the case.
