John Chiv: Kalin files motion to compel Elvine-Kreis to respond

On May 6, former deputy Public Defender Rory Kalin's lawyers filed two documents. Kalin is suing Humboldt Superior Court Judge Gregory Elvine-Kreis, former Public Defender Marek Reavis and current Public Defender Luke Brownfield.

Elvine-Kreis is represented by Mr. Patrik Griego. Kalin was smart to hire a LA law firm.

The Board of Supervisors had no problem footing the bill for Reavis and Brownfield who are co-defendants in a lawsuit alleging collusion and wrongful termination and Elvine-Kreis allegedly yelling Jewish slurs at Kalin. There are others who corroborate Elvine-Kreis' treatment of Kalin but obviously speaking up would be mean instant ostracization and loss of income in Humboldt.
