Steven Steward to throw the first pitch at June 4th Crabs game

The Steward for Judge campaign just issued a press release which is posted below. I reached out to Deputy District Attorney Steve Steward who is one of the candidates for Humboldt Superior Court Judge in this June 7 election.

"My family and I have been fans of the Crabs for years and try to get to as many games as we can," Mr. Steward said. "The enthusiasm and fan participation are what make every game fun.  It is an honor to get to throw out the first pitch opening weekend, especially with Election Day two days later.  I am hoping to raise awareness about my campaign and my message of fairness, compassion and accountability that I will bring to the bench."

Press Release:

The Steward for Judge Campaign has announced that candidate Steven Steward will be throwing out the first pitch during the Humboldt Crabs opening weekend.

This will be the Crabs 77th season making them the oldest continually-operated summer collegiate baseball team in America.

The Crabs will face the Ventura Pirates on June 4th at the Arcata Ballpark at 6:30 p.m.  “I am honored to throw out the first pitch during the Crabbies opening weekend.  I played trumpet with the world famous Crab Grass Band one summer but I think my daughters will be especially excited to see me on the field ", said Steward. “The Humboldt Crabs are a cornerstone of our community.  The enthusiasm of the fans and dedication of the players are a tribute to what makes Humboldt a special place to live.”
