I just happened to be walking in these areas and from past campaigns, happen to know certain sign locations reflect candidates supported by the Rex Bohn, Rob McBeth, Chet Albin crowd.
The same could be true for Natalie Arroyo, Kim Bergel or any other candidate.
With judicial candidates, signs, endorsements, party registration don't necessarily mean they are a part of the same ole right vs left funders and coalition that has dominated Humboldt elections for decades.
Whether it is a commercial property, house or apartment, a sign does not = votes. Check out endorsements and you will see some similar groups and names supporting certain candidates. Instead of signs and endorsements, do your own research, read multiple media sources and most of all, talk to the candidates. There are those walking regularly and holding meet and greets and attending events. I can only hope voters and readers who seem to be calling out the bs online recently will vote and that this election, there is a large turnout.
Most of us have a lot going on; most of us are struggling day to day but if you don't make the time to vote; you allow the same few people in Humboldt to dictate your lives for more years.
No press conferences and articles in the certain local media and anonymous blogs attacking candidates this time? Is it because those local media has suddenly improved or certain media can't afford to piss of all that election media money?
Two links from last election vs this year. Compare the coverage. The one "media outlet" that got the bulk of advertising dollars and from supposedly conservative candidates has been focusing on one tired County talking agenda for months.

Money talks. In this County, there is no separation of church, state or any aspect of Humboldt. The owners and publishers of most local media run around in the same circles with law enforcement, business owners, elected officials, casino owners, families influential in local tribes, selective growers and non-profit directors. Their lives will not change whether you vote for Mike Newman or Natalie Arroyo. They own the system. They want to make sure it stays rigged in their favor. They take care of each other. Who's watching out for you?
Your life can change for the better depending on who you vote for. There is no perfect candidate. There are few who have and will stand up to the system. You can make a small or big difference; if you vote. Vote by mail, vote in person, vote in numbers. That is a privilege and right you should not take for granted.
Cannabis growers, those who care about law and safety, those who don't want to keep paying taxes to fund the numerous lawsuits against the County, have you filled out and mailed your absentee ballot? If you plan to vote in person, what are you doing to ensure that day your voice will be heard?
