The Humboldt County Sheriff’s Office needs the public’s assistance to identify and locate the suspect of ongoing diesel theft from an Alton business.
A suspect was recently observed on surveillance footage unlawfully entering the property of a construction business on the 1000 block of Fowler Lane, near Alton. The surveillance footage depicts a male suspect stealing diesel from a concrete truck.
According to the business, the theft is believed to have been ongoing for approximately two weeks prior to capturing the suspect on video. The suspect is believed to have stolen over 200 gallons of diesel during that time.
This case is still under investigation.
