Fifth officer in the text chain broke up with his girlfriend a year ago

I was the first one to notice and post about the two officers names being visible in the screenshots in the Sacramento Bee article.

I observed Officer Cassidy and Officer Jones in the screenshots. That rules them out as snitches.Sgt. Sanchez and Officer Meftah were already identified. They wouldn't snitch on themselves.

That leaves two officers. 

I was also the first one to report "Word on the street is that the texts were leaked by someone's girlfriend/wife who was "pissed off."  That has also been hinted at by online comments. " 

The fifth officer in that text chain is Officer Matt White. He came here from L. A. He was recruited to Humboldt by former Eureka police chief Andy Mills. White had a girlfriend and they broke up about a year ago. He is in that text chain.

So who is the snitch? There is a sixth member of the "texting squad."

In my March 18 article, I raised these questions. Keep them in mind. 

"Who profits if Sgt. Rodrigo Reyna-Sanchez and Officer Mark Meftah are no longer at Eureka Police Department? Who benefits if EPD is painted in a bad light? Who gains if this scandal leads to removal of more officers; possibly EPD Chief Steve Watson? Is the motivation of the person(s) behind this "leak" really about the offensive texts or an effort to deflect from their own potential scandal? Who has eyes on being the next Eureka Police Chief?"

Besides throwing up a couple of screenshots, what has the Bee reported.? As I pointed out in this post and others, what has the other local media really reported. Ripping off my observations about the identity of the two officers and publishing it two days later; copying and following up on my reaching out to EPD Chief Steve Watson is not reporting and it is not original work.

The investigation firm by the City of Eureka has already had leads handed to them. Besides costing the City of Eureka money, a PR move by the City, what will that firm tell that has not already been revealed.

Who cares about the name of the investigation firm hired by the City of Eureka? Anyone can leak or provide a document. Whoever shares a confidential, privileged document has no ethics or morals. Posting that with no other relevant information is useless. An investigative article and a real reporter would have researched why this firm was picked and could get the timeline. 

Google the firm and background of the associates. The real story is the snitch, the inside betrayal and the constant connections leading back to the Bay Area. 

If the City of Eureka wanted an independent investigation, they would have hired someone outside California. Sacramento is the same entrenched, corrupt, insider backtabbing environment that is prevalent in Humboldt.
