Online access to the local e court system does not have a ETA but it has not been forgotten

On this blog, I have reported many firsts about the improvements initiated by Humboldt County Superior Court CEO and Jury Commissioner Kim M. Bartleson. For a small, rural county, these developments make a difference for many businesses that are not directly related to court and should be appreciated.

Jury summons and responses can be handled online, traffic payments can be paid via the local court website. Some of these changes were pre COVID. Others like court livestream were a result of COVID related policies and regulations.

With the second floor being closed since last March, there is no access to attorneys, their staff, media or the public to the e court system. Court IT has their hands full keeping daily operations functioning yet they have been working on the pre COVID project of getting online access to the e court system. I have done previous posts on this and it isn't a simple matter. You can google those posts. I have linked some recent posts.

I checked in with Ms. Bartleson about online access to the e court system. "We are working on it with the vendor in our test environment. No ETA yet."
