"On March 22, 2021, at about 8:26 a.m., Humboldt County Sheriff’s Investigators assisted the Trinity County Sheriff’s Office in serving an arrest warrant for 35-year-old Steven Rebel May related to a child sexual abuse case in Trinity County. "
"May was contacted at his place of residence on the 3700 block of Harris Street in Eureka and taken into custody on his warrant. "
"May was booked into the Humboldt County Correctional Facility on his warrant for charges of recurring sexual abuse of a minor (PC 288.5(a)), contact with a minor with intent to commit a crime (PC 288.3(a)), attempted lewd act on a child (PC 664/288(a)) and distributing lewd material to a child (PC 288.2(a)(2))."
