DA files more charges against Patrick Marshall for jury trial

Patrick Marshall was arraigned on information this morning. He was not in court but Judge Christopher Wilson allowed a 977 appearance by his attorney, according tp Emergency Rule 5. Marshall was ordered to appear for future court dates.

After his preliminary hearing, Marshall was not held to answer on Count 3. Held to answer on Counts 1, 2, 4 and 5. Defense 17 (b) motion denied for the charges that are wobblers.

Deputy District Attorney Carolyn Schaffer is the prosecutor for the case. Deputy DA Luke Bernthal appeared today in court for the People.

Deputy Public Defender Casey Russo appeared on the case for the Public Defender's office. Not guilty pleas and denial of special allegations were entered. Time was not waived.

Trial confirmation is April 5; jury trial is April 26.

Judge Wilson did read the charges. Due to audio, a few charges were hard to understand. There is also a discrepancy between what was read in court. I have no direct access to court or court records so am doing my best to check on the charges. DA has filed 6 or 7 counts.

Count 1 PC 288 (c) 1

Count 2 PC 288 (c) 1

Count 3 PC 287 b

Count 4 PC 261.5 (d)

Count 5 PC 288.2 (a) (2)

Count 6 288. 3 (a)

I may be missing a count. This is what the DA's office gave me.
