Marci Kitchen booked into Humboldt County jail yesterday
A September 4 hearing on Marci Kitchen's custody status was scheduled for September 4. Instead, yesterday at 3:17 on Labor Day, it shows that Marci Kitchen was booked into the Humboldt County jail.
So besides seeing the writing on the wall, what's this twist about? Time will tell.
Joe Kitchen, the Baldwins and Jeff Tsarnas did not know of this latest development until Marci Kitchen surrendered. Some extended family and several community members found out this morning after reading the post.
At the August 20 hearing when Marci Kitche entered her plea, the People requested that she be remanded into custody with no bail. Judge Kaleb Cockrum denied that request on August 20.
On August 20, Deputy District Attorney Stacey Eads said Marci Kitchen was a flight risk, that she covered and concealed her crime and traveled while out of custody.
On August 20, Ms. Heidi Holmquist Wells (speaking on behalf of Joe and Jevin Kitchen) stated it was 770 days since Kiya Kitchen and Faith Tsarnas' deaths and that it took this long for Marci Kitchen to take responsibility. Ms. Wells also brought up that Marci Kitchen could flee facing a decade in prison.
