"Jane Doe 1 told Jane Doe 2 one of classmates touched her inappropriately. Jane Doe 2 started crying, then told each other about their dad touching them."

In Deputy District Attorney Whitney Timm's opening statement yesterday in alleged molestor Sergio Reynoso-Lozano's jury trial, it was revealed that Jane Doe 2 is the half sister of Jane Doe 1. Lozano is Jane Doe 1's biological father.

"My dad would always have my sister sleep in the middle, he would get mad if she didn't but I risked his anger and slept in the middle." These are Jane Doe 1's words and the opening remarks by Ms. Timm.

"Ever since he put his hands down my pants, I wore tight pants but he still stuck his hands down my pants." These are Jane Doe 2's words.

There was additional time granted to file pleadings. It is past 105 days  So where are those documents. All I see is this litigation on this Tuesday's BOS agenda.

People in van with Florida license plates harassing Wells Fargo customers for cash

Around 4:50 p.m. today, I was walking near Wells Fargo  in Eureka and saw EPD car driving away. Went into the bank and asked Wells Fargo why EPD was there. "People in a van with Florida plates were harrasing our customers for cash." As I walked out, a woman was with the vehicle trying to jumpstart it.

Unlike many Humboldt closet conservatives, at least Steve has the guts to state his support openly

What law enforcement would like to say but can't for obvious reasons

This is especially true in Humboldt. There are a few bad apples in every profession. With the exception of the grovelers for the good ole boys, most of the men and women in local law enforcement do a thankless job every day and never get recognized.

County request for injunction and TRO against former Deputy County Counsel denied

(Cathie Childs)

Humboldt County's request for preliminary injunction and temporary restraining order against former Deputy County Counsel Cathie Childs was denied by Judge Timothy Canning.

You should read the snark in the County's ex parte application from the attorneys for the County. They claim Ms. Cyndi Day Wilson  "expressly objects to any direct communication from the County to Defendant Childs." The snide remarks are County attorneys saying Ms. Day-Wilson purports to represent Ms. Childs' and about Ms. Day-Wilson's claims that Ms. Childs has suddenly fallen ill.
