Cassie Brown sued local attorney Elan Firpo. The matter has settled. A dismissal hearing is scheduled for 9/28. Humboldt Superior Court Assistant Presiding Judge Canning said previous sanctions in the amount of $650 that he issued remain; Judge Canning discharged second order to show cause on 6/29/26. I had to wait for civil court minutes to be added and they were finally available today to do this update.
