Seamus Clancy resolves his molestation case the day his jury trial would have started

 

I have been adding updates to this post on alleged molestor Seamus Clancy's case.

Today, his jury trial was scheduled to start. Instead Clancy entered a plea taken by Humboldt Superior Court Judge Lawrence Killoran. He has to register as a sex offender, he waived his right to appeal and pre sentence credits.

Clancy pleaded guilty to Count 4 PC 288.3 (a) contacting a minor to commit a felony, Count 5 PC 288.4 (b) arrange to meet a minor for lewd conduct and Count 6 PC 261 5(c) statutory rape. This is a conditional plea with a stipulation of upper term of 6 years, 2 months in prison and aggravating terms. The other counts were dismissed. 

Deputy District Attorney Carolyn Schaffer is the prosecutor. Ms. Andrea Sullivan is Clancy's attorney.

Sentencing is on 8/13/26.
