Humboldt County's request for preliminary injunction and temporary restraining order against former Deputy County Counsel Cathie Childs was denied by Judge Timothy Canning.
You should read the snark in the County's ex parte application from the attorneys for the County. They claim Ms. Cyndi Day Wilson "expressly objects to any direct communication from the County to Defendant Childs." The snide remarks are County attorneys saying Ms. Day-Wilson purports to represent Ms. Childs' and about Ms. Day-Wilson's claims that Ms. Childs has suddenly fallen ill.

This is the kind of unprofessional behavior and talk I expect from Rex and "miniRex" as Bushnell is called by an anonymous local commenter and the Humboldt git er done yokels, not attorneys from Sacramento the arrogant Board of Supervisors are paying for with taxpayer dollars.
I am covering several court cases so screenshots will have to suffice. Maybe the County and Board of Supervisors should use funds more prudently then wasting it on unneccesary lawsuits they could have avoided.
I have contacted Mr. Dustin Owens to see if he represents Ms. Childs since he was the one who appeared at the 6/2 hearing for her. It may have been a special appearance but the court clerk did not include that in the minutes.
At 11:42, I heard back from Mr. Owens. "That was a special appearance. I haven't been hired yet, but it is possible that I do get hired."
