Bailiff had to tell CalPoly HSU student and friends to be quiet three times during court

Preliminary hearing scheduled today for CalPoly HSU student David Teller was continued to July 11. Teller is charged with transportation and selling of meth and possession of meth.

Two people came to court with Teller. He reeked and was dirty. I know people living on the streets who come to the courthouse all the time who are cleaner. They sat next to me in court, talked loudly throughout court proceedings. His friends thought everything was a joke. The court bailiff had to tell Teller and his friends to be quiet three times. The two people with Teller were the more obnoxious ones.

Teller's attorney,  Deputy Public Defender David Celli is in trial so Deputy Public Defender Casey Russo requested a continuance. Deputy District Attorney Ian Harris was aware of the request but objected on record and submitted the matter to Retired Judge John Feeney.

7/11: Another motion to continue preliminary hearing  by defense. Deputy Public Defender David Celli said Teller is in a treatment program. Deputy District Attorney Trent Timm appeared on the case for the People. The defense motion to continue was granted. There was no objection by the People. Preliminary hearing is on 9/6.
