Today around 11:45, I was on the second floor of the courthouse and Tim Gray was talking to a man and a woman. He told them, stop picking apart what I am doing or get another attorney. Scared, they complied.
Gray is a lousy attorney. For the 10 years, I have covered the local courts, he mostly sat around the law library or coffee shops pontificating. Gray was hardly in court. Too bad his skills are not as big as his ego. Gray gets paid by the taxpayers. Gray should be grateful he has cases at all.
Humboldt courts are so desperate for court appointed attorneys with so many conflicts declared by public defenders. The private attorneys who are good are too busy to take more cases so the courts will take anyone these days. I have seen other clients be abusive and their court appointed attorneys still did their job to ensure their rights were preserved and represented them well and did not throw a hissy fit and speak to their client the way Gray did. Marsden motions are for people like Gray.
